Community stewardship is an essential value of MHP. We believe it is important to give back to our community, and one way we do this is serving on boards of different organizations. One organization that various employees have served is Make-A-Wish Wyoming. The Make-A-Wish Wyoming program recently granted a wish in Cheyenne, and we are proud that many of our clients were involved in the granting of this wish.
Teagan, an eight year old girl living in Cheyenne, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2015. When she was recently granted a wish, she knew exactly what she wanted. Teagan wanted a treehouse. A plan was set and designing began. Soon, the treehouse was being constructed and it was eventually delivered to and placed in Teagan’s back yard. Her wish had been granted. This treehouse would allow her to continue to feel like a kid again. Many of our clients helped to make this wish come true (listed below).
- Elevation Structural Designs
- Frauendienst Quality Homes
- Mechanical Systems, Inc.
- Capital Lumber
- Wyoming Young Contractor's Association
- Southeast Wyoming Home Builder's Association
- Carpet One Commercial Flooring
Robert Dahill, partner at MHP, currently serves as the board-chair of Make-A-Wish Wyoming. His thoughts on why he chose to serve Make A Wish Wyoming: “A child should never have to deal with a life-threatening medical condition, and as a parent I can only imagine how incredibly difficult it has to be to see your child, and your family, deal with the situation. So to see the hope, joy and power that a wish can provide, not only to the child but entire family, is incredible, and that’s something that I want to be involved in.”
We are proud that a few of our own along with a few of our clients are involved with Make-A-Wish Wyoming. To learn more about Teagan’s Treehouse and Make-A-Wish Wyoming, visit: http://wyoming.wish.org/
